Hi there,
I printed some spectra with CCPN3, but they were not very nice. Could anyone share the parameters to print a nice 2D spectrum with CCPN3? Like the font, axis, labels, borders, marks et.al?
Best Regards,
Zhen

Hi Zhen,
beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I think you will have to give us some clues about your definition of “nice” for people to be able to help you out here.
This page on printing might give you some ideas: Printing to File
The main thing to note is that V3 starts from a WYSIWYG basis.
If it is a question of creating publication quality figures, then you will most certainly want to do some fine tuning afterwards in a graphics package such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape (which is free!), CorelDraw etc. Over the years I have almost always done this, regardless of the program with which I originally created the image file. If you are going to do this, then I would recommend printing to .svg (scalar vector graphics file) or alternatively .pdf.

Hi Vicky,
I’m sorry for not making myself clear. I’ve uploaded a typical print image, which I think has the following problems:
Perhaps I must use AI to solve those problems.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Zhen,
thanks be being back in touch with some more concrete issues.
Yes, there is definitely something odd going on when the font size is increased. I am finding for example, that the effect is different for a .png compared to a .svg file which seems strange. We’ll look into this.
You can change the Peak Label and Symbol Colours by double-clicking on a PeakList in the sidebar. This will change their colours in the SpectrumDisplays and then also the Print files. If you want to change the contour colours for a single peak, then you will obviously need to go into a graphics package, ungroup all the contour vectors, select the ones you are interested in and then change their colour.
Not at the moment, this is a new feature we would have to add. I can add it to the list, but I’m not sure how quickly we would get it done. For now, you will have to do this in a graphics package.
This is the kind of fine tuning which I’m afraid we probably won’t ever offer within our Print dialog and which you will have to do in a graphics package afterwards.
I find that when opening the .png file it sometimes looks as though some of the lines around the edge are missing, but when you then put the image into Word/PowerPoint/Illustrator, you find that it is in fact there. Why it doesn’t always show up just in the .png (in my case in Preview on a Mac) is unclear to me. Is something similar going on in your case?
